What is Vicinity?
A map of every real city, where each community gets one official coin, local leaders and its own feed for memes, check-ins, discussions and weekly votes. $VICINITY is the token that gets you in first. From November 10 the Vicinity Launchpad lets each city launch its coin.
Why did $VICINITY launch on pump.fun and not on the Vicinity Launchpad?
Trust. pump.fun is the neutral, battle-tested way to launch fairly on Solana: no presale or private sale, everyone buys on the same public curve, minting is switched off, and the liquidity is burned when the coin graduates. Launching our own token on our own brand-new launchpad would mean asking you to trust code we wrote and control. We'd be the player and the referee.
Timing. The Launchpad opens on November 10, and $VICINITY is what gets people in first. So $VICINITY has to exist before the Launchpad does.
Reach. pump.fun is where Solana's meme-coin traders already are. It's the fastest way to build a real holder base in many countries at once.
Focus. The Launchpad is built for city coins: one official coin per city, verified locals, founders and managers. $VICINITY is the key to that map, not a city coin, so it stays where it launched.
How do I get my dashboard?
Connect a Solana wallet, sign one free message (it isn't a transaction), then sign in with X or Google. Your rank and your city are checked automatically, and you're in. One account per wallet and per login.
I use FOMO (or another app wallet). How do I connect?
If the app can't connect to websites, choose "App wallet (FOMO…)" on the connect page. We'll show a tiny, exact amount of SOL to send to yourself. It costs only the network fee, and since only the wallet's owner can send from it, it proves the wallet is yours. You can also open this site inside a wallet app's browser, or scan a code with a wallet app on your phone.
What if I don't live inside any city?
Then you pick one of the three nearest communities to join. You can also ask for your town to become its own community; your Country Manager approves it.
What happens if I sell?
Badges that need a balance go on the next check. A City Founder who drops below 1,000,000 $VICINITY loses moderation powers at once and has 7 days to hold again; after that (or after a third grace within 90 days) the seat reopens, and they wait 30 days before applying again.
How do I become a City Founder?
Hold 1,000,000+ $VICINITY for 14 days in a row (balances are checked at random times), have your home set in the city for 7+ days, and apply from inside its boundary. The first application opens a 72-hour window; then the published formula picks the founder: 50% local endorsements, 30% contribution, 20% holdings (capped at 2×). Locals have 48 hours to object. One person, one city.
Who is the Country Manager?
A City Founder elected by the country's verified locals for 90 days (50% votes, 30% service, 20% capped holdings), at most two terms in a row. Until a country has one, the admin covers it.
Can a whale take over?
No. Holdings only count up to 2× the founder amount, founders are chosen mostly by local endorsements, managers are elected, and every vote is one person, one vote. Balances are checked at random times, so renting tokens for a day doesn't work either. See every rule.
Is this a rug pull?
No. Minting and freezing are switched off, the liquidity is burned when it graduates on pump.fun, and every team wallet is listed on this site. You can check all of it live on the blockchain on the Token page.
Which contract address is real?
Only the one on the Token page. Paste any address into the checker to confirm. Contract addresses can't be posted in Vicinity feeds, so a fake can't spread there.
What do you store about me?
Your wallet address, your X or Google account id and display name (no e-mail), and the name of your home community. Never your location: it's used once to find your community, then thrown away. Feeds show your display name, never your wallet.
Can someone fake their location?
We make it hard: GPS must be inside the real boundary, and the internet connection must be in the same country and nearby. VPNs, proxies, cloud servers and Tor are refused. Country Managers can flag anything suspicious.
Is this financial advice?
No. Meme coins are very risky and can go to zero. Only use money you can afford to lose.
